Volunteer Gardener - Ayrshire Materity Unit
We are looking for a keen Garden Volunteer to contribute to the upkeep of the Ayrshire Maternity Garden, which includes the main garden and courtyard garden.
Are you passionate about gardening and looking to make a positive impact in your community? As a Volunteer Gardener at the Ayrshire Maternity Unit, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the beauty and upkeep of the new garden areas. Get hands-on with a variety of gardening tasks, from weeding and pruning to general tidying. You will be provided with a uniform and all the tools you will need.
Whether you're an experienced gardener or just someone who loves plants, this role is perfect for anyone with a keen eye for detail and a love of the outdoors.
What we're looking for
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- An interest in plants and gardens
- Enjoys working with others
- Good eye for detail
- Physically capable of manual work
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- Volunteering experience
- Some prior gardening or plant knowledge
What we can offer you
This is a rewarding volunteer role that always you to get outside and enjoy the gardens, while making a difference to the families using the hospital. You will receive full training, have the opportunity to meet new people and contribute to a wonderful local cause.
Time requirements
3 to 4 hours on one weekday daytime per week. (day to be agreed)
